Pool people are sexist! and don't even begin to think they aren't or I will scream fuck at the top of my lungs until I lose my voice!!!!
So. Here is what inspired me to write that crude title: POOL PEOPLE ARE SEXIST!!! What pool people? you may ask. NOT the ones who play the game pool with all the little balls on a table, pool people, like the people that make swimming pools, the people that design and make filters and brominators and chlorinators and all the little hoses that connect them all. THEY ARE FRICKING SEXIST!!! For the last several days I have been trying to open my pool because my dad isn't here to do it and it has been really hot. Well, I needed new hoses for the filter because the old ones had holes in them. My first problem was that I could not get the old hoses off, no matter what I did they would not come off, I eventually had to cut on of them so I could take it with me to the store. When I finally got the hoses back home I could not get the hoses on!!! and they are deffinently the right size. I also know, from experience that the brominator lid and the filter lid are virtually impossible for me to open.
Therefore; POOL PEOPLE ARE SEXIST!!! They are manufacturing and selling a product that only men and the few extroardinarily strong women can open. This is a free country where all people are supposed to be equal!!! Yet products are stilling being manufactured that only men can use or operate! This is causing women to be more dependant on men! Causing women to be inferior to men! And some women ignore it, deny it's existence because it is easier if they pretend it is not happening. It infuriates me, it makes me want to smash the faces of every boy in my brothers sexist boyscout troop. The boyscout troop with their "girlscout water". AAARGH!!!! It makes me want to go outside and scream "FUCK!" at the top of my lungs until I can't scream any more!
Some people will claim that if you don't make filters and other pool things so they are almost impossible to open then they will leak. Oh...My...Gosh!!! We have computers... we have cell phones.... we have mp3 players... we have DVDs... and they think we couldn't make pool filters so that any adult, man or woman could easily open their filter to clean it? They could!!! They are just lazy!! and other people are too lazy to recognise that they are being discriminated against to actually do anything about it!!
What do you think would have happened if all the African Americans had just sat back and let us fricking discriminatory white people tell them they were inferior just because their skin was darker? What if they had just sat back and pretended like it wasn't happening? What if they had just pretended like since it had always been that way it should continue being that way? Well... then there would still be drinking fountains and bathrooms labeled "colored" and "white". Fortunately there were brave people like Martin Luther King Jr. who were willing to recognise something was wrong and do something about it! But now, us women are still suffering from the discrimination of sexist men and we are putting up with it!
So MIERDA SEXISTS!! MIERDA!!

i'm astonished. not the cussing. when i'm angry, i cuss. but i'm just so sorry that this is your view. i'm just saying that you are almost trying to bring women down in saying that men are always stronger than women. poop people build the filters so that they won't leak. i'm not saying they couldn't have a better prosses but i think women have just the same amount of strength to remove and clean as men do. for instance, at work, mikey said to me that he would train some guys to deal with the speakers because he didn't think we could lift of handle them. well fuck you mikey, allyson and i have been setting them up AND taking them down for several weeks now because the guys who are "trained" are too lazy to come in time to deal with the speakers. also, with three guys and three girls in the group, i am the only one who is strong enough to tune the cello in my music group. give me no shit about girls being weak or i'll bring my supahfly strength and go and remove and clean your pool filter. seriously, nothing is impossible for women. don't you dare say we are not strong enough....

i never said men were always stronger than women! i am stronger than a lot of men, especially the ones who sit in offices all day, or on computers... but there are a lot of women like my mother who are not strong enough to unscrew the lid of a pool filter. things should be made that both weak men and women can operate them. what if a nice old lady who's husband had died wanted to get a pool? what if she didn't want to have to hire a bunch of guys to come and take care of the pool for her? tuff luck, she would have to because accesories for her pool would be extremely difficult if not impossible for her to opperate and open to clean. dang, being around horses all the time i know that women often end up stronger than men, but not always, there is never an always for anything, nothing is constant. and as for women being weak... women are weak in some ways as are men no one is all strong in all areas.
hey girl, yes america is soooo sexist. but the thing is, since when have men been stronger?? ok, everyone including MY OWN FATHER thinks so, but it is SO not true!! I am the fastest runner, boy or girl out of my whole class. i am the best soccer player out of all the girls AND THE BOYS and i am strong in mind and spirit as well. roch, i sooo agree that the U.S is sexist, but come on, girls are just as strong!!
and in this i would also like to comment on carritops post. yeah, i agree about the boy discrimination thing. but you do know that it is ok for girls to be smart, but they are discouraged by the american society to do sports or such physical activities. they are encouraged to be little toothpicks that wear incredibly short shorts and miniskirts.

ok, so maybe i have changed my opinion a lot. although it can be hard to admit, i was wrong... to a point. maybe pool people aren't sexist... but they are discriminatory, their products should be made so that weak people, men and women can open them. now don't take the weak thing wrong, i don't think there is anyone who is really "weak" it depends on what sense of the word you are talking about. some people do not have the upper body strength of other people, you could be unable to lift five pounds but still be strong minded or strong willed. this country is sexist though. there are lots of men who think that girls are weak and can't do anything, when i can run faster and work harder and lift more weight than the majority of them. and there are still quite a few careers where women would be discriminated against; particularly in the construction industry. i go on jobs with my dad all the time and i NEVER see women puting up drywall or installing wood floors or laying bricks. when i go the clients sons will always be like "do you want help with that..." whatever "that" is. so this country is sexist and it goes both ways. lots of men are sexist towards women and lots of women are sexist towards men. i am afraid my opinion is somewhat biased, but thanks to all your comments i am starting to think at it from both sides.

okay aidela, first of all, the pool people are not SEXIST, but they do discriminate against weak people, both male and female.and i'm sure rochwen would love to invent the pool things if not for the fact that they have already been invented, and making them more easily accessible for physically weak people is something that the makers of the pool parts are REQUIRED TO TAKE IN MIND. remember that america is supposed to be able to cater to all people of all abilities/disabilites.

of the construction workers are men, that dosent mean that women are unable to get the job dose it? it just means that the chose not to. and *sob* im sorry to say it but i think men are stronger.... im not saying that with an extra bit of work, a woman cant become as strong as most men, but if you took a 20 yearold man and a 20 year old woman, im pretty sure the man would be quite a bit stronger. but if the woman worked at it, she could become stronger.... however, if you took a 10-12 year old boy and girl, they would be about the same. not that im happy about it, thats just my opinion.
yeah....hate to admit it, but you are right. but it is proven that women are more creative, and in general tend to be smarter than men. and hey, smarts can often be more useful than strength! And also I know that if women work out a bit for maybe just a month, they could be stronger than any man their age, so i want to stop the stupid american society from being so sexist.
when you take a man and a women of the same age and they both work out and get to the peak of their physical ability (for example athletes in the olympics) there is no getting around the fact that the men are going to be stronger. *sigh* it's very depressing. but i've noticed the majority of boys my age are fat and lazy. hmph, boys
no one will read this but i was reading this again and i think that ananymous is right. Pool people are not sexist, do not discriminate between strong and weak. they make their products that way, if you can think of a better way, why dont you just invent them yourself? how does making it to heavy for you make them sexist? sorry kandy, but i must say that you sound like you were only saying that because every one else was, kind of like... unoriginal?
