Haflinger: the haflinger is a breed of horse. it is like a draft pony, it looks like a miniature belgian (which is not going to help you much if you don't know what a belgian looks like). They are sturdy and roundish with golden coats (technically they are chestnut) and flaxen (white with black and interspersed). They originated from Austria. During world war II Hitler bred them very selectively to produce the perfect war horse. he wanted to use them to cross the alps so that he could conquer Europe. So he needed strong, hardy horses. They needed to have shorter legs and wide bodies. They also needed to be fat so that they could be used as food for the soldiers. Hitler was not dumb.

these horses are absolutely georgious and i am in love with them.

I had an absolutely, fabulously, marvelously, wonderfuly great time and Haflinger National!!!!! Avalons was so amazingly, charmingly, georgiously wonderful and even though i had some problems we worked them out and considering how far he's come in the past two years it is amazing. I love him!!

Also, Cyclone-whom i drove-due to the fact that Avalon is missing the piece of his brain which allows him to be driven- was also completely awesome!! she is one truly amazing horse. god, you should have seen her do Cone Scurry!!!! she was fabulous!!! she was fast, she responsive and she turned perfectly getting us through the (very difficult) course with no faults and a time of 107 and some odd100ths of seconds!!

Thank you Avalon and Cyclone!! i love you both!! and thank you Peggy and Ben for taking me!! i had a great time and couldn't have asked for more!
